When the weather’s nice, relax on the front porch while gazing out at Tenderfoot Mountain and the foothills to the east, and the Sangre De Cristo and Sawatch Ranges, including the 14,000-foot Collegiate Peaks, to the west.
Back inside, the well-equipped kitchen has all the essential cooking tools, so you can whip up tasty meals and snacks throughout your stay. These home-cooked meals can be enjoyed in the adjacent dining area or out on the back patio, featuring a covered outdoor table.
When it’s time to call it a night, retreat to the comfort of the queen-sized bed in the master bedroom. The second bedroom is appointed with a full-sized bed and a full en suite bathroom, which is also shared with guests staying in the master.

Summary: Just a few blocks from "downtown" Salida. Everything was in easy walking distance (except for trip up to the hill overlooking town - worth the views, especially at sunset). Immediately had a problem with front door lock battery being dead, and Scott came over quickly to fix. Also had some great conversations with him! Kitchen worked great for us - we cooked as many meals as we ate out. Also, eating outside was delightful. No yard, per se, just a back patio, but worked out well. Couch was super comfortable. Master bed a little too high for wife, but worked out well. Only things a little off were that the bathroom access was through second bedroom, and when the heat came on it was a bit noisy, but everything else was great.
