The tranquil ambience combined with tasteful furnishings and lots of lovely personal touches will ensure you have a wonderful break away. The cottage has an enclosed garden to the front and side, filled with plants and flowers and sunny sitting out areas, while inside, the cosy living room with its contemporary wood burner and kitchen/dining room are great places to relax after a day out sightseeing.
Although very quiet, the cottage is only a few minutes’ walk to the town, where you will find lots of interesting shops, cafés, good restaurants and leisure facilities including two championship courses in the town and an abundance of other courses nearby each with its own special character, as well as internationally famous Gleneagles, St Andrews and Carnoustie a bit further afield. There are picturesque walks along the River Ericht running through the town, which join up with the Ardblair and Cateran Trails.
Ideally situated for exploring the many delights Perthshire has to offer, whether it’s golf, walking, cycling, or visiting local attractions like Glamis Castle, Scone Palace, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the list is endless. The ski slopes at Glenshee are a short drive and the cities of Perth, Dundee or Edinburgh as well as the House of Bruar and Pitlochry are well worth a visit for some retail therapy. Cycling, fishing and tennis are nearby, and excellent hillwalking is available in the Angus Glens. Alternatively, explore the clean sandy beaches strung out along the east coast.
