Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are 2 steps to the garden, which is slightly sloping. . This delightful detached log cabin is located on the outskirts of the charming Kippford sailing village, with stunning views of the estuary. Sailing is the hub of Kippford village life and there is ample room in the grounds of Cedar Lodge for your boat. There is a local Yacht Club in the village that provides moorings and facilities for yachtsmen and also offers an active racing, cruising and cadet membership. Each season culminates in Kippford Week in August, a week of racing and excitement for all ages.
A short walk from the holiday property takes you into the village where there are two excellent pubs offering meals, as well as a small shop specialising in country gifts and speciality local produce. Cedar Lodge is only minutes away from the Richorn Trailhead, the access to one of the famous 7Stanes mountain bike trails, Ironhash, Moyle Hill and the red graded Hardrock Trail. Cedar Lodge is also ideally located for visiting local beaches, as well as hill walking or perhaps visiting renowned gardens, ancient woodland with abundant wildlife. The area is well recognised for its clear skies as one of the twelve best stargazing sites in the world and the first Dark Sky Park in the UK.

Summary: Lovely secluded chalet on the outskirts of Kippford (10 mins walk)Quiet, and lots of wild life Immaculately clean. We had a deer walk through the garden and if you put a handful of monkey nuts in the box on the balcony ,the little fella in the picture comes along ,opens the box, and helps himself. Beautiful!
