Mythology and the perfect beach holiday meet in this charming 2-story guest house that feels as though it were straight out of a fairy tale. The Troll's Den sleeps 6 people with 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths, full kitchen, and laundry facilities. This house is perfect for families or small gatherings, with queen beds in two bedrooms and bunk beds in the other. The Trolls welcome your visit and, if you're quick, you may catch a glimpse of one inside the Troll Hole.
Loaded with games, toys, books, music, four TVs with and high-speed wifi this house is perfectly located across the street from the waterfall pond and a half-block walk from the pool, Lake Kai, and the new playground. A leisurely 5-minute walk to Lake Michigan on the pristine Indiana Dunes (national lakeshore) which is a top-rated beach where you can see the Chicago skyline on a clear day.
The Troll's Den is located in the Beachwalk, an award-winning resort community in Michigan City, Indiana, where there is activities aplenty right outside your doorstep.

From the Friday before Memorial Day through mid-August there is a 4-night minimum and all guests must purchase resort passes, which cost $15 per person. There is a $5 parking cost per car.
Cleanliness has always been a top priority for our company. If you've stayed with us before, you may have seen this during your visits. Our cleaning and infection control processes were put in place so that when you visit our homes at the Beachwalk, they are both safe and comfortable.
We will continue remote check-in/check-out procedures, but as always will be available to take your calls, answer any questions, and provide the overall great service you have come to expect. Early check-ins or late check-outs will be allowed when possible and will be charged at the hourly average of the nightly rate.

Summary: Most of the stay was exceptional including communication with owner. The only issue we had was with technology in 2 of the bedrooms our kids were in. Anders was responsive and offered to troubleshoot but I declined. The two bedrooms are in significant need of new TV's. The TV's advertised as DVD players xbox for DVD didn't work (no controller, manual menu browsing, etc) and even if they had it would have been a very antiquated experience (devices were at least 15-20 years old). For the cost associated with this rental I think updating the tech in those two rooms would be a reasonable request as new smart TV's are not a major investment these days.Otherwise, excellent stay. Anders was a very accomodating host and even offered to have his wife who is an R.N. check on our daughter who was under the weather.For some folks my minor complaint may be no big deal at all...we have four kids under 12 though and all are used to having easy access to TV at night.
