Our cottage is nestled in the trees in a gated community. Close to activities, but secluded enough to feel remote.
Within 10 minutes: Lake Glenville, Pine Creek Recreation Area, Signal Ridge Marina, and Happ's Restaurant.
Within 15 minutes: Cashiers
Within 35 minutes: Sylva and Highlands
Within 90 minutes: Asheville and Smoky Mountain National Park
The Space:
Primary Bedroom – Enjoy a well-rested vacation with our king mattress, ceiling fan, and room darkening shades. You can expect hospitality-grade bedding products from Helix, Quince, Casaluna, and Beautyrest. En suite bathroom.
Primary Bathroom – Soaker tub with a bath tray, walk-in shower, and a double vanity. We supply Beekman 1802 shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Guest Bedroom – This bedroom is smaller than the primary bedroom, but is equally comfortable. It also features a king mattress and the same premium bedding / pillows.
Guest Bathroom - Single vanity and shower/tub combo.
Twin Room – Young and old alike will sleep soundly in this room that features two twin-size memory foam mattresses, 100% cotton sheets, room darkening curtains, and ceiling fan. Children will enjoy our chest of toys and the small reading nook filled with children’s books.
The Den - Features an Interior Define sleeper sofa. You’ll be all set for a perfect rainy movie night with a 50" Roku TV, DVD player, and plenty of classic movie options. This room is connected to the half bath.
Great Room - Contains plenty of seating options. The dining area features a table for 6 people, a small sofa to cozy up in front of the wood burning fireplace, and another seating area for sipping your morning coffee or beverage of choice in the evening. The bookcases contain a large variety of books (everything from Nancy Drew to self-improvement to thrillers and even some novels based in the local area). You can use our board games to enjoy some family time in front of the fireplace.
Kitchen – Our kitchen is FULLY stocked! You’ll feel right at home with our curated selection:
-Costco's All-Clad stainless steel pots and pans
-Ceramic coated, non-stick frying pans
-Coffee bar with Breville's Precision Brewer, a French press, Bialetti Moka Pot, and Cuisinart's burr coffee grinder
-Dinnerware service for 8 and plenty of additional dishware for a memorable dinner or holiday gathering
-Kids bamboo & melamine dishes and outdoor dinnerware
-Bake to your heart’s content with baking sheets, mixing bowls, and a hand mixer.
The Backyard - Includes a custom-built brick oven with all of the necessary accessories to cook a Neoplitan style pizza or a delicious steak. There is also an outdoor dining table with seating for 8 people.
Front Porch – Get comfy in a rocking chair or on the outdoor sofa, where you can enjoy views of the peach trees in the spring/summer and a peek of roaring Trout Creek in the winter. You will undoubtedly hear the beautiful creek sounds year-round!
Guest access:
The whole home will be accessible to guests with the exception of the owner's/cleaner's closet. Access to a portion of the garage will allow guests to use the laundry facilities.

Roads – Arriving at the property is the part of the getaway experience. Entry to the neighborhood is via a steep, narrow asphalt road that leads to a gravel road with a fairly steep grade. The gravel portion can be rather bumpy at times. A 4WD/AWD vehicle is recommended, but not necessary. Those experienced with mountain roads shouldn’t have any issues in a FWD or RWD vehicle (My 85-year old grandma has driven in several times in her ’02 Honda Accord without problems). We would NOT recommend this drive, though, for sport cars with low ground clearance (Corvette, etc.)
Internet – Our internet has been upgraded to Starlink as of February 2023 and can now support multiple devices streaming simultaneously and is sufficient for remote work.
Cell phone reception – There is virtually no cell phone reception in our neighborhood. We typically use Wi-Fi calling while in the home. For your convenience, we provide landline phones.
