We have a beautiful cottage in Spain that we do not use, so we are looking for simplicity to let it long-term to someone (or a group of friends/family) for them to use as their own holiday home. Our idea is that if say 6 parties share the cost, each party could then use this cottage in Spain for just £16 per night / £115 per week's holiday / £500 for a month holiday, at this price however it is still very affordable for just one person/couple/family.
About
This very private house sleeps 4 and will be solely accessible to just you (and/or your chosen friends & family if you decide to). Situated just outside the Alhaurin el Grande village (opposite the Mirador Hotel) at the foot of the mountain range, with hardly any passing traffic as it's on the Forest road. It has wonderful views, lots of outside space, trees/plants, private terrace, patios, storage room, security doors/windows, alarm (although very safe & secure anyway) and it's Sound-proofed/weather-insulated. There is a keysafe on the main gates so you can come-and-go as you please and others can have access without issues, all while knowing that the property is maintained and paid for all year round with no bills whatsoever, incl. Electric, Water, Internet, Tv (netflix/prime accounts & all Uk Channels etc.), Ibi Tax, Rubbish Tax, Security & All Garden/orchard Maintenance.
The cottage is built on a private orchard accessed by remote electric gates and you can pick from the organic produce there literally outside the front door, lots of parking inside and the house itself is fully furnished with everything you could possibly need: from a large kingsize bed, large sofa-bed, dining table, wardrobe, Tv/radio, high speed internet, Air-conditioning in all rooms, heating, microwave oven, to glasses & utensils etc. It has a utility room on the side with washing machine & an extra fridge freezer and another storage room under the terrace.
Area
It's a nice quiet area (certainly not a party place) and would therefore suit relaxed people who enjoy the peace, calm & tranquillity of nature's woodlands, yet it's located within walking distance to the busy town and local to many golf courses to choose from such as Lauro Golf, Alhaurin Golf, Santana Golf, LaCala Golf. It's just 15 mins from other exquisite towns too such as the popular Mijas Pueblo, 20 mins from the beaches such as Fuengirola & Torremolinos and 25 mins from either Marbella in one direction or Malaga Airport in the other. This central geographical location of Andalucía means you will be able to easily visit many attractions such as the historical centre of Malaga, the caves of Nerja, Mijas/ronda and other typical villages, the popular Alhambra Palace in Granada, Seville Cathedral, Cordoba Mosque and other amazing tourist areas such as Jaen, Cadiz and even Gibraltar is near. If you like nightlife then you can simply follow the beaches where there are hundreds of local bars, restaurants, pubs, discotheques, etc. There are local cleaners available for under 10€ per hour if required and luxury hire cars from the airport with a special annual insurance for 50€pw.
How
The one year minimum contract here is agreeably renewable by law up to 5 years and we don't require a deposit if paying annually. If you are planning to share the property with others however, we will ask you to send the identification of one person from each vacation group prior to their arrival.
We are currently in Spain (close to the cottage) for the next few months minimum and so can take video calls there to show you around the property and local area.
