Whether you are looking for a cozy cottage to unwind at the end of an active day outdoors, or you just want Peaceful Privacy and Relaxation, Casey Cottage is ideally located between all the area hot spots and only 15 minutes from Bryson City! Inside the cottage you will find a well appointed large kitchen with everything you require to prepare and serve your meals. The dining table has seating for 4 to enjoy a family meal. Both bedrooms have recently been updated with soft, fluffy bedding! The master bedroom has a thick memory foam, sure to have you sleeping like a baby. All mattresses and pillows also have hypoallergenic and bed bug protectors on them, so you can sleep with peace of mind! In the Living Room, the large Stone fireplace is the focal point, that can be enjoyed at the touch of a button. It is open and spacious with a large leather sofa and a rocker, easily allowing for a group of 4 to relax or a couple to cuddle <3 For your entertainment, there is a flat screen tv with a dvd player and an ever growing collection of adult and children's movies. My personal favorite is the record player! We have a large collection of records for you to enjoy with classics like Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Willie Nelson and some not so classic surprises! There are also assorted board and card games! The Master Bedroom with Queen size bed has luxury linens and bedding. The spare bedroom has 2 twin size beds also with luxury linens. There is one full bathroom with a shower and tub. The other bath has a toilet and a large vanity sink. The large screened in porch offers a large table to eat or play games at while listening to the noisy creek and admiring the surrounding nature. The covered back deck offers a bubbling, steamy hot tub with a protected view of the stars and nature. We provide Robes to lounge in between enjoying soaks. There is a rocking bench at the Fire Pit where you can relax and Enjoy the ever changing beauty of the Smoky Mountains! There is a charcoal grill complete with every thing you need to be the grill master. Access to this private retreat is easy. Casey Cottage is located just over a mile from the main highway which is far enough to enjoy Peace and Quiet without "road noise". The road is NOT narrow or steep, and you do not feel as though you are "climbing the Mountain". Close enough to easily arrive at all the area activities quickly and without excess time in your car. Ideally located between the Nantahala Outdoor Center and the Tsali Recreation and Mountain Biking Park, and Bryson City is less than 15 minutes away! Tucked under the shade of two majestic Poplar trees, the area around the home usually stays about 10 -15 degrees cooler than in downtown Bryson City. Inside the home usually stays about 10-15 degrees cooler from that! With a sometimes 30 degree difference from town, the intelligent construction and insulation of the cottage, we have never needed A/C, but a window unit is provided for guests who like it a little cooler than mountain air provides. Every room also has quiet high powered ceiling fans.
