Welcome to Hafod Villa a traditional Pembrokeshire National Park Cottage, Comfortably furnished for up to 8 guests in 3 bedrooms. Huge private garden, private parking and access drive. Located behind woodland off of a quiet country lane.
Hafod Villa enjoys an idyllic location and there are fabulous sandy beaches with rockpools and caves to explore nearby. Set between the Market Town of Cardigan and the pretty Village of Newport there are plenty of shops bars and restaurants to explore.
From the Cottage you can walk to our famous beauty spot at Ceibwr Bay with its fabulous rock formations and interesting sea mammals can be spotted from the cliffs. Previous guests have swum in the Devils Cauldron which is a short way from Ceibwr along the World Famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Hafod Villa is a charming old cottage which you enter via a large conservatory which is furnished with a table and chairs for alternative dining and sofa and armchairs for relaxing. The sitting room has a 60inch smart TV for those wet days as well as unlimited wifi. Seating for 8 guests. The long kitchen dining area has two cookers and fridge/freezers, there is also a separate area for washing machine and tumble driver.
The groundfloor bedroom has a kingsize bed and cot in it. There is an under stair en suite shower room with toilet and washhandbasin.
Upstairs is the Family bedroom with a fourposter comfy bed and a pair of bunk beds for young children. There are pretty garden and countryside views from the window. There is also a twin bedroom with adult size beds in and a large wardrobe. There is also a family bathroom on this floor with a restricted height over bath shower, toilet and washhandbasin.
Whilst Hafod Villa has thick traditional walls the cottage is spacious.
Up to 3 dogs are welcome at no extra charge.
Outside there is a large picnic bench for alfresco dining and BBQs. There is unlimited heating and wifi as well as Sky TV. There are swings in the garden for children and lots to explore in the huge garden.
Lots of local sports and activies including, walking and hiking the Preseli Mountains and famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, horse riding, hacking, beach and mountain rides. Coasteering at our local beauty spot; Ceibwr Bay, just over a mile from the House. Surfing, swimming, fishing (sea and fresh water) Kyaking, archery, clay pigeon shooting, tennis and golf (we have very local courses).
Ideal for nature lovers and artists, unusual and rare sea creatures can be spotted from the cliffs at Ceibwr including seals, dolphins, basking sharks, porpoises and even the occassional whale. There are several local boat trips to enjoy. The hedgerows and local countryside are full of interesting wildlife and flowers.
Popular days out are visits to Oakwood Theme Park with many thrilling rides as well as lots to entertain the tots. Folly Farm is also a big favourite with it's combination of exotic animals including Lions and Giraffes outdoor rides and climbing frames as well as an indoor fairground for wet days.
There are lots of local days out including within a short drive including; Castel Henllys (Iron Age Fort), The Shire Horse Farm, Cardigan Island, Kilgerran Castle and Wildlife Centre, Cardigan Town is an interesting place with numerous bars and restaurants, interesting shops and of course the Castel. Local bluestone and the famous Pentre Ifan prehistoric burial site there are several Cromlech and Stone Circles as well as the quarry where stones from stonehenge originated from at Brynberian. Many other places of historical interest to explore.
For tourists the location is ideal for exploring the three counties of Pembrokeshire, Cardiganshire and Carmarthanshire. There are many interesting days out to enjoy such as a visit to St Davids, which has the smallest Cathedral in the UK. Or a trip further North to explore the picturesque Georgean town of Aberaeron.
