Welcome to the coziest vintage w/a modern twist home located in the most peaceful part of Forest Park! This warm and peaceful home is excellent for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (kids of all ages), and groups looking to live close to the city!
This location makes it easy for you to get around! You are only a:
-5 minute walk to the CTA Blue Line
-1 minute drive to the expressway
Get to downtown Chicago, the United Center, UIC and other places in less than 20 minutes!
**You will have access to the first floor of home which includes 3 bedrooms, a dining room, living room, kitchen.
Please be aware that we have neighbors living in the downstairs garden unit so the shared spaces include the basement with the washer and dryer, the garage, and the private fenced backyard. They have a dog that roams in the backyards sometimes.**
Our charming & relaxing home preserves its charm with the original hardwood floors and wood trim with small modern touches such as the kitchen backsplash and upgraded entertainment. Perfect to lounge and relax in, the space is well decorated with a large living room with a dedicated workspace, & dining table and private backyard that lights up to life at night with its string lights!
***We are happy to accommodate up to 8 people, with our couch that turns into a sleeper and a futon in the sun room area, but please keep in mind, there is only 1 bathroom.***
Equipped with high speed wifi, large 65 inch Roku Smart flat-screen TV (made easy for streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney Plus, etc), heating, AC, washer & dryer with tide pods & dryer sheets included, plus free garage parking making your stay extra convenient!
We also have a fully stocked kitchen with essential spices (more than just your salt and pepper we assure you) and oil, refrigerator, oven, stove, coffeemaker, garbage disposal, and dishwasher. Perfect if you're feeling like making a good home cooked meal or a nice yummy breakfast!
The master bedroom has a luxurious king bed which occupies most of the space but well worth the lovely nights rest you'll receive. Equipped with its own 55 inch Roku Smart TV, blinds and curtains, included for your comfort. Also includes a large dresser and closet with hangers.
The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, blinds, a ceiling fan , a large dresser and closet with hangers.
The 3rd bedroom includes a queen bed, blinds and curtains, a ceiling fan as well as a large dresser.
All of our bedrooms have the softest memory foam mattresses and fluffiest pillows that makes sleeping its own sanctuary!
PLEASE NOTE:
***We have neighbors living in the garden unit located in the basement floor of the house so the basement where the laundry room is located, detached garage, and backyard are shared spaces.***
-Primary guests that don't have reviews and not a 4-5 star reviews, we will require a $500 additional deposit which will be refunded at the end of your stay, given that there are no issues or any damages.
***Please be aware we have 24/7 security camera outside premises for added protection. One ring video doorbell camera and one outdoor camera over the backyard entrance + garage.***

Summary: We would book here again. Host responded to communications immediately. The location was convenient, very close to I290. It was a 15 minute drive on Saturday morning to Willis Tower for reference. The house was roomy! We had so much space to spread out. There were 7 of us and we felt we had plenty of room. Keep in mind there is only one bathroom. We were able to make it work. There were full length mirrors in a couple of the bedrooms that my daughters used to do hair and makeup in the morning. The neighborhood was nice. It was residential with lots of families out walking in the nice weather. We felt very safe there, of course you need to always be careful. The house has a basement apartment I guess that someone lives in. The back yard and basement laundry room are shared spaces. We never encountered the neighbors and it wasn’t a problem. Also, we were given one parking spot in the detached garage that is shared with the neighbors. It’s a keyless entry for the garage and was easy to use. Also nice to have the car is a secure spot. There is also plenty of daytime street parking. If you have more than one car, we were told to provide the host with the license plate so they could register it with the city of Forest Park (this is for overnight street parking only). We ended up with only one car so I can’t report if that works or not. But just something to be aware of. Really enjoyed our stay. My only recommendation would be more to have more towels and washcloths available. If we ever need a place to stay in the future we will definitely try to book this place again.
