Positive: We can wholeheartedly recommend Echoes of the Forest Lodge. The apartments/rooms are very new and modern, and we have rarely experienced such friendly and attentive service. Everyone was incredibly warm, welcoming, and eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The food was delicious, and the pool was perfect for swimming a few laps and relaxing after the long journey to Andasibe. We only had two full days available for excursions and wanted to see and experience as much as possible. The team supported us even before our arrival and helped us plan everything perfectly. We will never forget our tours in Analamazaotra, Mitsinjo and Mantadia with our guide Christien (+261 34 36 237 06). He was incredibly dedicated to helping us spot as many animals as possible and had an impressive knowledge of the different species, their behaviour and habitats. We learned so much from him during our tours. Thanks to his experience and sharp eye, we saw Indris, red and brown lemurs, mouse lemurs and woolly lemurs, six different species of chameleons, a Northern Madagascar boa, and so much more. We are very happy that we chose Echoes of the Forest Lodge as the starting point of our Madagascar journey. You should be aware that there can occasionally be short power outages, but this is common throughout the region and did not affect our stay at the lodge in any way. We had hot water and everything else we could have wished for. Although the journey from Antananarivo is quite long, it is absolutely worth making the trip. If you wish, the lodge can also arrange a very friendly and reliable driver with a comfortable car for the transfer. We would come back anytime! A huge thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special!
