Positive: We liked the friendliness of the property owners. The house was very well-maintained with an efficient AC and WI-FI connection throughout the house. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds clean and very comfortable. The owners were discreet and respected our privacy (except for one occasion when they walked to our side unannounced). There is plenty of space for kids to play a range of ball games. The outdoor space also comes with a terrace where we enjoyed our lunch and diners but also to relax during the cooler nights. The outdoor provide plenty of space to park and the property is well-secured. The location is excellent as it is located within walking distance (about 5-7 mins) from the local amenities (town center) including a large supermarket, access to one of Orange two main motorway entries. A car is only essential if you are planning to visit the area of Orange and prefer the road to the train. We did our best to clean the house before leaving with the intention of returning it as we found it. The owners were very pleased, but I do not think there was a specific instruction to clean before leaving. Overall, a very pleasant stay and our kids would be happy to return there (they loved the space, the WI-FI, the comfortable beds)!
Negative: The adding of a swimming pool would be great. There is an indoor pool next to the motorway, but its use is quite restricted (mostly to swimmers doing lengths and not really for recreational use - but it is, again, a few minutes’ walk from the property). It would be good to ensure the adding of a clearly functioning barbecue area. There was something but it did not seem fully functional - bear in mind that we did not ask the owners so, perhaps, be more daring than us and simply ask them. Seating area in the TV-room is a bit small. Perhaps, include a slightly larger sofa so family members can all sit together. Our kids teenagers were fine though. Finally, it would be good to add a few basic products like a handwash liquid, more toilet paper and a few basic sanitary products. This would mean that the temporary tenants would not have to shop around for such simple products. It would be fair to include these (even if it means adding a small extra charge).
Summary: Very friendly owners, clean and secure house, excellent AC / WI-FI / location! Recommended!
