Gorgeous northern Adirondack waterfront cottage with a big fireplace only 10 minutes from skiing Mt.Titus, 15 minutes from one of the best golf courses in New England, and lots of snowmobile trails and hiking! This is a great place to get away from it all and enjoy fabulous winter outdoor activities!
Fully equipped winterized 2 bed 1 bath waterfront century home nestled in the Adirondack National Park. Perfect for world class skiing and snowmobiling season as Mount Titus is 10 minutes away, Saranac Lake 45 minutes, and Lake Placid 1 hour with snowmobiling trails all around. The home is located one hour from the Plattsburgh International airport, 2 hours south of Montreal and 2.5 hours south of Ottawa.
Two excellent restaurants are in the town, Malone, 20 minutes away, (Donavans and Riverside, best with resv) and there is a lovely restaurant up on the plateau where we are, about 5 minutes away (Jessies). Full shopping and groceries are in Malone, on the way.
One of the 10 best golf courses in New England is 15 minutes away. Hiking galore in the county! The lake is stocked yearly for fishing right from our dock!
As you walk onto the property, there is a garage on the left for one mid-sized car and a parking space, a nice lawn and small deck to look out onto the water. The second parking space on the opposite side of the property. The entrance to the home through sliding glass doors leads you into the open concept living room dining room with a large stone gas fireplace and comfortable Adirondack style furniture and décor. There are beautiful picture windows throughout that look into the forest. The first bedroom is straight ahead on the left after the living room next to the 3-piece bathroom (sink, toilette, and bathtub). The first bedroom has a small deck and staircase leading out. The kitchen is off of the dining room / living room. It is small but a very functional space with a refrigerator, stove, microwave and roll away dishwasher with a chopping block top. The kitchen comes fully equipped with pots, pans cutlery and small appliances (coffee pot, coffee grinder, blender, toaster, electric can opener etc.). The second bedroom leads off the kitchen heading towards the lake with two large picture windows facing the great forest and an electric fireplace. The office is off the second bedroom facing the lake. It is a very tranquil place to work from. The office, overlooking the lake, is accessed through the second bedroom. There is a small dock down by the water with two Adirondack chairs to enjoy the incredible sunsets and stars sitting by the water. Come and enjoy the Adirondack National Park this winter!
