Positive: This place is really close to old town Porto, close to restaurants, step out the door and start exploring to your hearts content. A great view from the window. Super close to the metro, just a 2 minute walk, once you get your bearings. The host was nice enough to let me store my suitcase there before my later flight, and she attempted to be helpful when I needed medical attention.
Negative: The check in was not ideal for me as I didn't have a local sim card, which meant I couldn't simply call the host once I arrived, I needed internet, which I couldn't get until I checked in. The most annoying of paradoxes. The guy in the cafe next door was super helpful, thank goodness. I was feeling unwell at the time and all I wanted was to get inside and lie down, there were too many barriers for my liking. I booked sponataneously, which meant I didn't check if there was an elevator, so I had to lug my heavy suitcase up 3 flights of stairs. The bed was actually broken on one side when I arrived, and the host advised me that she already knew and was sorting out a replacement. Not the greatest stay for me, but a lot of that was due to my own issues, and lack of checking things, but the least one expects is a fully functional bed.
