Positive: Holbein is surrounded by beautiful views, and is perfect for a peaceful place to rewind. The hot tub is definitely a highlight - we enjoyed watching the sunsets, looking out for wildlife and sitting under the evening stars. We also enjoyed a bbq on the provided pit. There are lots of lovely places to walk nearby, and Bakewell is a short drive away for some pudding! We booked Holbein very last minute (the night before), although you would not have been able to tell by how prepared for us they were. Lots of added touches that were really appreciated and made the stay feel a little bit of luxury - such as dressing gowns, mashmallows! Nicola was very welcoming and showed us how everything worked The property is clean, the bed is comfy, the shower is warm.
Negative: A slightly later check out may be nice - but also there’s so many nice places to go near by that this isn’t really an issue.
