Welcome to Press Pause on beautiful Beech Mountain, the perfect cabin to relax and press pause on the daily grind of life. This beautiful cabin is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Press Pause is within a 5 minute walking distance to the ski slopes and provides all the accommodations you'll need to have a wonderful stay. The 4900 ft elevation is perfect for cooling off in the summer while enjoying the year round, long range, mountain views showcased in the floor to ceiling windows of the living room. While Press Pause has had several updates recently (new flooring, roof, appliances, vanities, faucet, toilets, painting), the home still maintains its original character, highlighting many design elements of the Me Decade. There's even a brand new hot tub outside to relax in after a fun day hiking, skiing, or snowboarding on Beech!
Enjoy preparing family meals in the fully stocked open concept kitchen or relax in the living room where the sectional back supports recline and converts to a large, lounging pit. It's perfect for movies or to simply enjoy the fire. Beautiful natural stone, fireplace with electric insert. Floor to ceilings windows and sliding glass doors lead to a deck that overlooks the Beech Mountain Ski Resort. Beautiful unobstructed, long range mountain views may include wildlife deer, black bears, coyotes, and more.
Have some fun in the finished basement with one of the many games available for guest use. It's hard not to enjoy your stay with a ping pong/pool table, a pinball machine, a video arcade cocktail table with 800+ games, an electronic dartboard, and a board game table. As with all other tv's, the basement Roku TV provides Hulu Plus Live and gives you a great atmosphere with 70s memorabilia décor.
In the loft you'll find a gaming table, a reading nook, books, coloring supplies, open to living/dining space, and an excellent long-range view.
This house is stocked with everything a family with younger children would need including: high chair, baby gates, pack n play, toddler dinnerware, bibs, tummy time mat, infant bath tub and vibrating infant seat. There are books and toys for children of all ages.
The three bedrooms are animal themed with the master bedroom (deer) is located on the third floor and provides a king bed and ensuite bath. On the main level, guests will find the queen bedroom (bear) and across the hall with 2 twin beds, the wolf den. Two additional twin beds are provided in the loft with privacy curtains, while a futon is also available for use in the basement. Each bedroom has a Roku TV with Hulu Plus Live and Netflix available.
The Upper deck at Press Pause is right off the living room with long range views overlooking Beech Mountain Ski Resort. Located just a short distance from the home is the Beach Mountain Club where guests can enjoy access to Private Restaurants, Championship Golf, Professional Tennis, and a heated pool to name just a few amenities. Guest passes must be requested and paid for in advance and limitations may apply. Additionally, the Buckeye Recreation Center and numerous trout fishing streams are located close by and we can even connect you with the best local fly fishing guides.
***Please note that this home does not allow animals of any kind in or on the property at any time. This is due to severe allergies in the homeowners' family. Service and support animals also may not be allowed as this would result in an undue burden and significant expenses to the owner to restore the property and arrange deep cleanings.
Additional Notes:
- Owners use a Ring camera pointing at the driveway only. No other cameras are pointing at the home or any of the common areas.
- Returning guests of Press Pause can receive a 10% repeat guest discount. Please call our office to take advantage of this discount.
- AWD or 4WD vehicles are required during winter months. Parking space for 3-4 vehicles. Guests cannot block other driveways.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers.
- Firewood is not provided at the home, but may be purchased in advance from our office with a week (7 days) notice. Firewood is $25/day for 2 bundles of wood and a Firestarter log.
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
