Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location of the house was central and within 15mins walking distance to the Blois Castle and bridge to restaurants, in a quiet pedestrian street. Pre-arrival information was comprehensive and host was very responsive. The welcome greeting by Nathalie was warm, excellent and informative. She also offered to walk with us to the restaurant we had booked for lunch, familiarizing us with sites along the way. The terrace house itself was well equipped and comfortable with ducted temperature control and heaters in rooms.

Negative: Description of accommodation should include that the house is 3 storeys with a central wooden, winding staircase - so probably not suitable for the elderly, young children or those with mobility issues. One bathroom had a shower over a bath-so again may not be suitable for accessibility. One of the double beds was not so comfortable and pillows could have been a little higher, firmer.

Summary: A wonderful stay for a group of 5 to explore Blois and nearby chateaux for 3 days.
