Summary: I read the many positive reviews before booking this hotel and somehow the experience still surpassed my expectations. Kansu and his family were so welcoming from the moment we arrived, and anticipated any question that we would have. Kansu was especially helpful in communicating - running over during dinner to help translate, giving us his phone number when he went into town - since neither of us speaks Turkish. The upstairs room that we booked was a little on the tight side, but it had a wonderful little balcony w table and chairs and a spectacular view. Plus, the pool area is so spectacular (really amazing) that most of our time was spent there. Breakfast was amazing, the dinner we had (2 times in 3 nights) really great, and the afternoon tea such a nice extra touch. This is a truly exceptional family run hotel that really maximizes your relaxation. (I mean, they even repark your car so it is easy to exit!) We hope to return one day and definitely would recommend it to any one who chooses Selimiye for a vacation.
