Looking for a comfortable, cozy, clean house to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Northern Michigan? This one is for you! This is a lovely, spacious 3-bedroom home in a gorgeous country setting. It is in close vicinity to many great activities and events Manistee County has to offer. The quaint town of Brethren is only about 3 miles away. Brethren is home to the very popular fishing and recreation area, Tippy Dam. It is a fisherman's little slice of heaven. The backwaters (Tippy Pond) are one of the most beautiful areas in our state. It is about 10 minutes east of this cozy home. Numerous hiking and snowmobiles trails are close to adventure on. The Spirit of the Woods on Bear Creek is only a mile away. Manistee is a short drive of 14 miles. The Little River Casino is a very short distance as well. Your group is sure to find fun activities that everyone will enjoy! This rental has a great yard to relax and make memories in. There is a firepit to grill food on and to have evening campfires. This house is fully furnished, kitchen has all that is needed to cook and serve meals. It does not have a TV. It is owned by a Mennonite family who will be doing missionary work in the country of Georgia. The house does have internet service. It truly is an opportunity to enjoy the great north and unplug a bit. It has an abundance of wonderful books to enjoy. Please leave them for others to experience as well. There are children's toys and games available to have fun with. This property has out buildings that are off limits to renters. They will be marked as "Do Not Enter." The family has a mushroom business that will continue to operate. All farm equipment is strictly off limits to renters. Children are not allowed beyond marked boundaries for safety reasons. Any renter who does not adhere to this restriction do so at their own risk.
It is expected this house be well taken care of by renters. Please do any dishes you use. If you choose to use the dishwasher to clean them, please start prior to your departure. We strive to provide a very clean comfortable home. We ask you respect this house and leave it as you found it. In the case of excessive messes, you will be contacted to discuss additional charges.
The washer and dry are for regular clothing only. Do not wash or dry boots, waders, or hunting gear. You will be charged accordingly if there is damage done to either machine.
If you bring a dog/dogs with you please pick up and dispose of their waste. Please do not leave them unattended in the house. If you must leave them they must be crated.
Absolutely no smoking or vaping of cigarettes or any other substance inside of house. You will be responsible for cost of additional cleaning if you do not adhere to this rule.

Summary: This property was a little rough around the edges. It needs updating. Luckily this was a fishing trip for my husband and his friends and they didn't seem to mind the "vintage" look of the house or the strange roped off yard.
