Villa Door to the South is located close to the charming coastal towns of Salobreña and Almuñecar, on the hillside community Alfamar on the Costa Tropical of Granada. This beautiful south facing villa is completely tranquil and private. When you enter the property through a large Andalusian wooden door, the fragrance of Jasmin will welcome you already. This Andalusian style villa has been set in a large tropical garden, which surrounds the entire house. It is elegantly furnished and decorated to a very high standard with exotic African touches and features. Everything is thought to provide you with comfort and relaxation so you have an unforgettable stay.
The villa itself is divided in two levels. The upper level is where the main house is, with three bedrooms, two of them with double beds and en suite bathrooms and a third bedroom with twin beds. There is a separate big family bathroom with bathtub. It is easy to appreciate at once the quality and amplitude of all rooms in the villa. The generous sized kitchen counts with all you need to enjoy a cooking experience with the fresh raw materials this part of Spain has to offer you. You will find a spacious dining room and living room with fireplace, for those winter cozy evenings. Wide glass doors to the terrace that extends along the whole south side of the villa will allow the sun to light up the entire space. The staircase located on the terrace lead you down to the lower level of the property where the tropical garden and pool area are. But before visiting this part of the property, you will not be able to avoid contemplating the astonishing views to your surroundings, that is not only the space around you but beyond, towards the Mediterranean sea, the blue sky and the picturesque white village of Salobreña with the impressive Moorish Castle (lit up at night).
The extensive outside area and tropical garden is located on this lower level. You will find a great sheltered terrace with a large table, which is the ideal place for entertaining next to the pool side and barbeque, while you are enjoying the stunning views to the Mediterranean Sea and the bay of Salobreña. Surrounded by nature you will enjoy the fragrances coming from the flowers next to you. The pool has multi-colored led lights, so you can create a nice ambience during the late evenings.
The lowest part of the property is a vast garden designed in terraces with beautiful trees, exotic plants and flowers. Little paths will take you across the whole garden where you will discover charming details, as if they were hidden treasures, every time you walk it through.
This villa has hot and cold air conditioning, electric central heating, WIFI and a satellite TV with a wide variety of European channels There is a garage for one car and open parking outside for various cars.
Villa Door to the South is located on the very nice hillside urbanization Alfamar. The recreational area of this urbanization is on walking distance. Guests have complimentary use of the communal tennis court and pool. There is a golf course 20 minutes away that is located right on the beach.
The beach, restaurants and shops are less than a 10 minute drive away. There is an easy access to Malaga, Granada or Almeria airport. If you can manage yourself away from this marvelous villa, there are lots of things to see and to do: the ski area of the Sierra Nevada where you can also enjoy great walking and hiking is less than 75 minutes away, so you can ski during the morning (from November to April) and relax on the beach or at the pool in the afternoon. The picturesque mountain villages of Las Alpujarras are nearby as well as the wonderful cities of Granada with the Alhambra Palaces and Malaga with the historic downtown and the Picasso museum.
Salobreña benefits from the subtropical microclimate with over 300 days of sunshine a year and average temperature of over 20 degrees C. PRICES ARE BASED FOR ONLY THE VILLA (6 PERSONS, 3 BEDROOMS). TO RENT 1 APARTMENT THE PRICE IS 200 EUROS MORE PER WEEK. TO RENT 2 APARTMENTS THE PRICE IS 400 EUROS MORE PER WEEK.
Changeover day: SUNDAY (In low season depending on booking calendar.)
• A security deposit of 500 euros is payable on arrival via credit card.
• Electricity of the villa is included.
• Pool heating is optional and will be charged separately.
• The costs for pool heating up to 28 degrees are:
October 1st to April 30th: 175 euros per week
May 1st to September 30th: 125 euros per week
The costs for heating from 28 degrees are 25 euros per degree per week
