The Tree House “North”
Recently renovated; this is a new rental property in the heart of the Leelanau Peninsula only minutes from the famous M-22
scenic drive between Leland and Glen Arbor. A unique accommodation: it lives with the feel of a tree house. From the
street it has details of a lovely private residence, yet it is divided at its center and occupies two separated, 2000 sf
townhomes.
The first-floor features 2 large private master suites with king beds and full baths. Between the suites is a cozy library
with TV and pullout sofa-bed. Washer and dryer are also available on this floor. Heading up the spiral staircase to the
second floor you enter the tree-house: a glassed floor-to-ceiling 30’x19’ Great Room surrounded by an extensive 1000sf
wrap-around deck. To the left is a large sitting area, wood fireplace, 65” flat screen TV and surround sound. You will also see a 10’x4’ harvest table. This area accommodates multiple activities: from setting up a Wi-Fi work
station, piecing together a challenging puzzle, or hosting a lovely dinner gathering. Head out onto the west deck and view
the Sleep Bear National Lakeshore Park. Here, you will watch stunning evening sunsets with views of Good Harbor Bay
and Pyramid Point. To the right at the top of the stairs, enter the kitchen. It too has an up-north personality. With large
glass windows and door-walls, it pulls you outside as you enjoy the golf course views. The kitchen offers a large island
that accommodates seating for 6. Music pipes into the room from the Great room. Just steps outside of the sliding
glass-door on the north deck is outdoor dining with a view. No large parties or events allowed. Two excellent golf courses, Heritage Trail, the National
Park, as well as Good Harbor Beach and Lake Michigan are minutes from North’s front door.
As you walk through the rooms, you will notice impressionistic art work that reflects the Leelanau Peninsula. Many of
these pieces are available for purchase upon request.
