Positive: The on-site manager was wonderful, and even though we spoke different languages we managed to muddle through. He ensured we were settled in and showed us around the property. The location was ideal as it was secluded and near to Durbuy, which is a wonderful little village to visit. Having the house to ourselves was nice, especially since you have to be concerned being around others during this covid pandemic.

Negative: Hidden Fees - There was no indication of having to pay a CASH security deposit until AFTER a non-refundable booking was made and you receive a PDF stipulating the extra cost, to which I was not impressed considering the base price. You have to bring an additional €1000 for the SD, plus another €180 for cleaning. The cleaning fee is non-refundable. You have to pay for the utilities you use too, which I assume includes the heating of the pool because for a 3 night stay they took €250 of our SD! There was also an expectation of them keeping our entire deposit for 2 weeks and they only wanted to return it via a bank transfer. We were on holiday and don't have a EU bank account, so they made an exception. They advertise it as sleeping 17, but for every visitor they charge a higher rate, so again, the advertised price on booking is the absolute minimum, not the overall cost. Be prepared to spend another + €1200 from the advertised price. Accommodations - The property stipulates "No Parties" but that is exactly what the house is set up for. It is a giant open house with dining room seating for 30, a ping pong table, and 5 old sofas. This was not somewhere you can get comfortable for a long period of time and is set up like a hostel with minimal amenities. You have everything you need in the kitchen as far as cutlery, pots, pans, dishware, but that is where amenities end. If you stay here you literally have to bring everything from your house if you plan to stay overnight. There was no oil, coffee, salt or pepper. No dishwasher tablets or linens. No mop or vacuum, just a couple old brooms. The bathrooms provided no soap, towels, bath mats, or toilet paper. There were 2 double beds we weren't allowed to use because of covid. The others were single/twin, so you can't even sleep with your partner. You are provided one set of sheets, one comforter and one pillow. No extras.

Summary: Extra charges apply! Great for daytime party, not ideal for overnight visits.
