Welcome to Retro Riverside Retreat! This cozy, newly renovated 60's home offers all the modern conveniences with a dose of quirky charm. The home is quiet and private but not isolated. We're just minutes from downtown Lansing, a short drive to West Jefferson, and conveniently located to visit Boone and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Retro Riverside Retreat offers something for everyone! We have many spaces for relaxing and hanging out with friends and family. Enjoy our comfortable living spaces, awesome game room, and our many outdoor options. The upstairs bedroom has a "hidden" playroom that the littlest travelers will love... we have it stocked with toys, games, books, costumes for dress-up, and even a play kitchen! The whole crew will also love the game room with board games, foosball, a ring toss, and an arcade game that has all your retro favorites!
Looking for some quieter options? Curl up with a good book on the upper deck, or enjoy s'mores at our firepit.
Retro Riverside Retreat is the perfect home for families, couples, and friends! We comfortably sleep up to 8 guests and have two full baths, one upstairs and one downstairs.
Did we mention the location? The house is minutes from some of the best attractions in Ashe County. You'll be less than 5 minutes from downtown Lansing and only 10 minutes from downtown West Jefferson. Be sure to check out all the boutique shops, galleries, antiques, restaurants, and seasonal shows these towns have to offer!
You can hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway just a short drive from the house and enjoy long-range views in either direction.
Looking for some River Time? Check out Elk Shoals, a favorite spot for Ashe County locals. Little ones can play on the gravel "beach" while older kids and adults can enjoy tubing and swimming. If you'd like to rent a kayak, Zaloo's off Highway 16 and River Girl Fishing in Todd are both fantastic options.
