Hummingbird is a beautiful well equipped hillside studio apartment nestled between the rainforest and the beach. 3 minutes walk from the sea. It has a fantastic big shaded deck, brilliant for birdwatching. Birdlife around the house is first class. Spacious, bright and private with a new modern shower room, air conditioning, wi fi and satellite tv. It is a brilliant central location - an easy walk to the beach, bars and restaurants. uphill on the way back - so take your time, like all things here. Castara is a unique rustic fishing village. It is evolving, but essentially it still embraces a traditional, slow paced way of life.
The space
Our home is unique. We originally built it as our 'home from home'. We decided to make our entire top level a studio apartment to accommodate couple and solo travellers. It is fully air conditioned - essential for many guests in this climate! The shower room has a power shower, the kitchen is well equipped - with a microwave, cooker and large fridge. There is a comfortable sofa and satellite tv and strong wi fi through-out. The outside deck is a lovely place to sit - large and comfortable with great seating. It is fully covered and shaded - so even when the tropical rain comes you can stay outside. It looks onto natural rainforest terrain and you are likely to see the same variety of birds here then in the forest itself.
