In the warm season, you can enjoy the deck and the grassy lawn that borders the famous Ammonoosuc River, a protected waterway whose name, given to it by the Native Abenaki people, means "small narrow fishing place," pointing to the abundance of brook trout, but also rainbow trout, salmon, and other species. The river is also visited by a great variety of wildlife, from moose and bears to bald eagles and otters, and is home to a number of endangered aquatic species as well. Get your fishing pole, a fishing permit, and you can spend hours relaxing in this mountain paradise. But don't forget to explore the surroundings! -Quiet Hours: From 10 p.m. to 8 a.m please keep noise to a minimum. During the day, please make sure noise levels are low enough not to bother others, and never leave a barking dog unattended! No fireworks on property. A $100 fee may be imposed for violations of these rules.
-No smoking inside the unit; $250 fee for violation.
-We are in Bear Country! No trash or food is to be left outside at any time; $100 fee for violations.
-Some of our homes are equipped with exterior cameras for security purposes.
-We have relaxed our cancellation policies. However, please note that there will be no exception to these policies, for no reason, no matter what the circumstances. Travel insurance is available on our website and from a variety of other sources; it is the traveler's responsibility to decide whether to protect their purchase or not. Due to contractual obligations with property owners, we will not be able to make any exceptions under any circumstances.
-Our homes are in rural locations in the North Country. We live in a beautiful environment surrounded by pristine natural habitats, and share this land with a variety of animals. We do our best to ensure a proper balance between pest control and health concerns and appreciate your patience if a critter may find its way in. Our team is always available to come take care of it. To help prevent issues, please refrain from leaving doors propped open and avoid leaving food in open space which could attract rodents and/or insects.
