We invite you to stay at our oceanfront home In Maine for your next vacation.
You might want to relax on our large deck to feel the breeze from the bay and view an eagle soar overhead. You might want to take advantage of our new, comfortable deck furniture to finally read that book. The sun on your face, a cool beverage or morning coffee in your hand, you gaze at the occasional sailboat or lobster boat crossing the serene landscape.
A stroll across our grass lawn leads to a pair of red chairs (with some morning shade from the pine tree) to watch the wildlife and many birds that frequent the rocks by the shore. The changing tide and birdwatching provide a tranquil respite for meditation and wonder. Walk down the steps to our sandy beach at low-tide and look for sea glass and other treasures.
On other days you may want to venture out and explore all that Maine has to offer. Hike on green moss-edged trails and smell the balsam pine. Ascend to the winding cliffs of Acadia National Park to soak in the majestic coastline. Kayak and be surprised every time a seal pops his or her head up to say hello. Voyage out for whale watching from Bar Harbor. Bike six miles around Schoodic Point with the ocean constantly by your side. Navigate rocky tide pools or picnic near Frazer Point. Climb across rock formations of Schoodic Point and watch the amazing sunset.
Did we mention the meals? You can feast on fresh local lobster, delectable Maine farm produce and blueberries found at local stands. Restaurants in nearby Winter Harbor or explore Bar Harbor, Ellsworth and Millbridge. On other evenings you can use our new grill, lobster pot and well-equipped kitchen to create your own alfresco dinner party on our expansive deck.
As night falls, you build a fire in our fire-pit and gather your fellow family or friends to discuss the day’s adventures, plan for tomorrow or just sit in silence and listen to the ocean waves and crackle of the fire. When you look up, you see why this is the perfect place to gaze at the stars above. With little to no light pollution in this secluded area you have front row seats to a nightly panorama of constellations and the Milky Way.
The house itself is a beautiful one-level ranch, privately located on a 1.25 acre oceanfront lot with 150 feet of shoreline. Large wall to wall windows in the main living area ensure breathtaking ocean views from every angle. All bedrooms feature brand new mattresses, sheets, pillows, duvets as of Fall 2022. The primary king bedroom has a full bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has two double beds. These two rooms share a bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Every bedroom has custom-made room darkening blinds to ensure a restful night’s sleep!
