Positive: We had such a lovely stay at Shellbraes farmhouse —it was the perfect venue for our hen do. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, with plenty of space for a group to relax, celebrate, and enjoy the countryside. The cottage itself is full of character, clean, and really well equipped, which made everything easy for our stay. It was easy to find and has good parking for multiple cars. The kitchen was well equipped for self catering and having multiple fridge/freezers was a great help! We enjoyed using the fire in the evening. The beds were comfortable and enjoyed the space that had been well thought out. Was as pictures show. We did run into an issue while we were there, but the host was very responsive, doing everything they could to sort it out. When it couldn’t be fully resolved during our stay, they were very fair and compensated us, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a fantastic time and wish we could’ve stayed longer! The combination of a great location, a charming property, and such attentive hosts made it a memorable trip. We’d definitely recommend it—especially for group stays! Look forward to booking again!

Negative: They had an issue with the heating/hot water whilst we were staying but they were very responsive in trying to sort. When it couldn’t be resolved they compensated fairly.
