Positive: Considering that the building in which apartment is located is rather old and in poor overall condition requiring a full restauration, the apartment itself has been very nicely and tastefully renovated, maximizing the space as much as it was possible. Location, geographically speaking, was quite good.
Negative: However the area itself, full of old, partially abandoned, partially in deplorable condition houses was not inspiring or inviting; the same, sadly refers to the entire inner area, from entering the building up to reaching the apartment proper, which was on the second floor. It has NOT been renovated at all and is in a quite poor state and spooky. It did not provide us with sense of full safety, particularly going out in the evening, something we intended to do. Another surprise was the fact that building had no elevator (this was not mentioned at all in a description of the property on booking.com.) Since we stayed just one night, we had with us only a small scooter suitcase. Still, considering that I am past 70, it was a true challenge (forget comfort) to clime that quite narrow winding staircase to the second floor (in the old buildings the floors are much higher that in the modern buildings). Had I known it in advance, I surely would refrain from booking the apartment. The least the owner should of done, would be to openly tell the potential renters about this. I personally cannot imagine climbing those stairs with a real suitcase (for people who rent the apartment for several days and bring more things along). It would be sheer impossible for us. The bathroom, especially the shower cabin was way to small to take comfortably the shower. Even my wife, who is extremely petite, told me that she felt utterly uncomfortable using the shower cabin. I had to refrain from taking the shower all together. Shortly saying: it definitely was not the right accommodations for us.
Summary: Sadly, we shall not be able to return to this place and would not recommend it to our contacts.
