LOCATION
If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, but one that’s close to everything, look no further. Full of inviting ambiance and modern luxury, this welcoming, spacious, newly remodeled home is in a great location in a lovely residential area. Numerous small and large wineries and local sustainable breweries are close by. You are five minutes from Santa Rosa International Airport and the SMART Train, and 10 minutes from Healdsburg, the food capital of Sonoma County. In addition to world-class wines, Sonoma County is home to organic bakeries, sustainable micro-breweries, farmers markets, gourmet restaurants (and simple ones), local artisan cheeses, and incredible shopping all minutes from the house. You are walking distance to the Windsor Town Green, Starbucks, banks, and Oliver's, a gourmet local grocery store. Take your pick from countless outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, boating, beach visits, and sightseeing.
Our home has plenty of room for either togetherness or privacy, inside and out, essential after a busy day of wine-tasting, visiting breweries, exploring the outdoors, and touring the area.
GROUND FLOOR
There are new hardwood floors throughout the downstairs, and plush carpeting upstairs. The décor is modern.
LIVING ROOM
There is a formal living room, with garden views, vaulted ceilings, comfy inviting sofas, lots of books, and a gas fireplace.
KITCHEN
The spacious and open eat-in kitchen with a lovely view of the garden seats 8 and has stainless steel appliances, a 5-burner gas cooktop, microwave oven, 2 large electric ovens, and plenty of appliances, utensils and gadgets to enhance your culinary adventures. Two coffee systems are available, a Keurig and a 12-pot coffee maker, as well as an electric kettle for tea lovers. A crockpot, toaster, blender and plenty of high-end pots and pans are also provided, as well as lots of dishes and wine and beer glasses.
FAMILY ROOM
The combined family room has leather sofas with lots of cushions and comfy throw blankets in front of the gas fireplace. There is a Flat-screen TV, and a Blue-Ray DVD player; your access to Cable TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. is complimentary.
DINING ROOM
The separate formal dining room, also with seating for 8, provides an excellent opportunity to showcase your gourmet farm-to-table meals using the freshest seasonal ingredients from one of the many the local farmers markets, including the seasonal Sunday morning Windsor market.
BATHROOM
A full bathroom is located on the first floor, with a large shower.
LAUNDRY ROOM
There is a separate indoor laundry room with a washer and dryer, and ironing board. Laundry supplies are provided so you don’t have to buy them.
UPSTAIRS
BEDROOMS
Plenty of room for up to 6 adults.
The huge Primary Suite has a vaulted ceiling, California king bed, luxurious linens, duvet, and a variety of pillows. There is a soaking tub, separate shower, double vanity, walk-in closet, separate WC, with plenty of high-quality towels and his/her toweling robes for your additional comfort. There is an attached sitting room, a perfect quiet and cozy reading area. Plenty of hangars and drawers for your things, and a collection of travel books to help you plan your next getaway.
The second bedroom has a comfy queen bed, luxurious linens, and plenty of storage and closet space. Two toweling robes are provided for guests in this room. A separate bathroom is across the hall with a bath/shower combination. Again, plenty of fluffy towels are available.
GREAT ROOM
Also, on the second floor is the special large Great Room and Entertainment Center, with more comfy leather sofas, a flat-screen TV, records, CDs, DVDs, and a variety of board games like Monopoly, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, and Clue. (There is plenty of room for the high-quality inflatable queen air bed in this room if 6 guests are booked into the home, along with all the necessary bedding.)
GARDEN
But perhaps you just need to hang out, soak up the sun, or relax in the shade in the spacious inviting garden. Doors lead from the living room, kitchen and family room directly to the back garden. The roses in the garden are spectacular year-round and enhance the beauty of the home ten-fold. Plus, in 2020 we purchased all new garden furniture. The deep-seating lounge furniture for 8 (two couches and two club chairs) plus beautiful dining tables and chairs with seating for 12 are the perfect temptation to relax and enjoy the Wine Country lifestyle. There are additional private sitting areas in the front and back garden for quiet conversation. Umbrellas and fountains ensure the utmost comfort and relaxation. Hungry? Then fire up the new Weber gas grill.

THINGS TO DO
Within just a short drive you can explore the Charles M. Schultz Museum, Windsor Riverfront Regional Park, Russian River beaches, Guerneville, Occidental, Sebastopol, Santa Rosa, Armstrong Woods State Park, Sugar Loaf State Park, Jack London State Historic Park, Lake Sonoma boating, Petaluma, Bodega Bay, Jenner (where the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean) and Sonoma. The area is perfect for mountain biking, cycling, walking, and hiking. Hot air balloon rides are another great way to view the area. Never visited Northern California before? You are only 90 minutes from San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge and all its wonderful sights.
AMENITIES
We provide plenty of parking, high speed internet, air conditioning, and a well-stocked supply of basics such as spices, olive oil, salt and pepper, etc. Folding chairs and beach towels are available for your wine country picnic or trip to the beach. The home is professionally cleaned before each guest arrives. Local assistance is available for the duration of your stay if needed.
Travel guides and recommendations will be set out for your arrival. We can send you information in advance of your trip about special requests, grocery delivery, etc. We can also try to help you get tickets for the shows at the Luther Burbank Center for the Performing Arts, 10 minutes from the home.
