Summary: We had such a wonderful week here! The house is gorgeous. Even the beautiful pictures posted don’t do it justice. The owners have thought of everything in terms of what you might need during your stay. The location is awesome. We have stayed in many waterfront lake homes in Michigan and this is by far our favorite. The view of White lake from the house was so beautiful. We spent a lot of time on the porch soaking it in. There are neighbors close by (but not too close) and they were all very friendly and accommodating. It feels secluded and peaceful while also being just a five minute drive from excellent restaurants, shopping and area attractions. The nearby towns are super cute with plenty to do and see. White lake was perfect for floating, kayaking, and fishing (lots of bass!). There is a bit of a walk down a trail to get to the beach, but we were able to manage it well. We loved the quick access to Lake Michigan for a fun day on the beach and the “big lake”. The owners are fantastic. Super thoughtful and kind. We had a couple of minor issues that they responded to and resolved right away. If you are considering booking the Hygge House, just do it! A little bit more expensive than other places we’ve stayed, but feel like it was really worth it due to the excellent location, lake access, amenities, and beautiful, well-designed home. We’ll be back!
