Welcome to the Octopus' Garden, a warm and cozy oasis located in the heart of Bennington, VT. This relaxing one bedroom suite, infused with amenities and much love, comfortably accommodates 2 people. This peaceful space is only a 10 minute walk to art, shops and dining and is the perfect hub for a variety of activities in Southern Vermont and Western Massachusetts.
The space
The Octopus's Garden has a private entrance and holds everything you may need for your stay here in Bennington. If you like cozy, cute and colorful with a touch of whimsy, you will enjoy my sweet little Oasis.
This self-contained one-bedroom studio apartment located in the back of my home contains a queen size bed with a super comfy Tempur-Pedic mattress, a two person Sanijet* whirlpool tub, a 42" flat screen TV** and an in-room kitchenette with full size fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, one burner hot plate, electric frying pan, crock pot, small George Forman grill, utensils and dishware. Down the hall you will find a large, cheery bathroom complete with a relaxing waterfall showerhead. The Garden is the perfect spot to rest and relax, whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, an active adventure weekend, a business or college visit or just to explore the history and beauty of Southern Vermont.
*The tub currently has two jets not working but everyone still says it is very relaxing and a highlight of their stay.
**Please note that I do not have cable, however, Wi-Fi is available, and I am happy to provide access to my Netflix and Hulu accounts.
It is a short walk to the center of town and a convenient hub for surrounding winter sports, hiking, museums, colleges, shopping, restaurants and art. Take some time to visit the Bennington Battle Monument, the Old First Church, Robert Frosts' grave, the Bennington Museum, as well as the many covered bridges in town.
