Situated on a quiet residential street in the heart of old Victoria, it is nestled among numerous attractions. The shores of the Salish Sea are a few minutes stroll to Ross Bay and Clover Point.
Explore the shops and restaurants in Cook Street Village. Walk or cycle to Beacon Hill Park and beyond to Downtown and the Inner Harbour. Climb Moss Rocks for a spectacular view of the
snowcapped mountains on the Olympic Peninsula.
Visit the famous Moss Street Market on Saturdays for local produce and crafts. Wander through the beautiful gardens of Government House and visit the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. Go birding in the Ross Bay cemetery and look for Emily Carr’s and Billy Barker’s resting places. Walk to the Fairfield Plaza for groceries, pharmacy, liquor store, hardware store, Ross Bay pub and sushi.

Summary: This property is in an excellent location and is a beautiful house, lovingly restored and decorated. The kitchen is fully equipped for whatever a cook would need (with the exception of the microwave, which is in a cabinet above the fridge, making it difficult to access). The back garden is a mini-oasis of lush trees and shrubs and lovely flowers. The neighbourhood is very quiet. I would have highly recommended this home had it not been for the hot water failing to appear on day 4 of my 10 day stay. The best I could manage was lukewarm water for a few minutes. I contacted the property manager, who texted the owners the day the hot water quit. I heard nothing from either the property manager or the owner for the rest of my stay, despite my sending follow-up texts, voicemails and emails. I washed dishes by boiling water in the kettle first. Showers were very brief. I was disappointed that an otherwise enjoyable stay was spoiled somewhat by having to cope with the lack of hot water. Hence only 3 stars for what would otherwise have been 4.5 stars.
