Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Big spacious apartment, balcony, with cooking utilities, fridge, towels and sheets. Have its own parking lot, which is a bonus in Makarska where you have to pay for every parking (4 euro one hour).
Negative: Noisy with windows open. 8-10 minutes from the beach. Also, you have to cross a quite circulated road (without pedestrian crossing marks) in order to reach the beach. You also have to cross another circulated road, which, fortunately have traffic lights and pedestrian crossing. From beach to apartment is 8 minutes steep alley through parked cars and other block of flats and villas. The location could be closer to beach, but not a deal breaker since the room rates were excellent for our budget. Host does not speak English well. But he's good in German. Anyway, we managed to understand each other. No bigger supermarkets in area. Kaufland and LiDL are about 3km away, Only by car.
Summary: Great 6 days stay, with some minor negatives which could be easily overlooked.
