Positive: The grounds are stunning. We had booked the Spectacular Room (plus extra bed) for us and our two kids and it seemed reasonably spacious when we arrived. We then transferred to a Garden Villa which was absolutely wonderful. The staff is super nice and personable, they really tried to accommodate our every wish (Japson, Nilesh, Nikhil etc). The breakfast buffet and other meals we had at the Kitchen Table were excellent, the snacks at the Rock Pool were also yummy (though a bit more greasy than we'd like them to be).
Negative: We stayed during the Indian wedding season, I guess, so several parts of the hotel were not available to us due to some wedding functions taking place there or being set up. Since our initial room was between the courtyard & pool and some functions took place exactly in those two places, it became unbearably noisy for our family. We were ready to move out of the hotel since we also couldn't use either of the pools - when they transferred us to the Garden Villa. After that, our stay was very nice, but without that, I think we would have been really miserable and wondering what we paid all that money for. Overall, the hotel doesn't strike me as very family-friendly in comparison to other 5-star ones. It would be nice to have at least a little bit of infrastructure at the beach.
Summary: Beautiful grounds, superfriendly staff, good food - not ideal for kids though.
