Set in a stunning peaceful courtyard, this well appointed Grade II listed terraced barn conversion is spacious with light and airy rooms, many original features and is perfect for that much needed family break.
Once inside, Steadings offers excellent accommodation, with a large open plan living room, beamed ceiling, comfy sofas, family-sized dining table and French doors opening onto the delightful patio seating area and mature gardens. A well-equipped kitchen has everything you need, but with so many good places to eat nearby, you could be easily tempted to leave the cooking for another time. A staircase with characterful exposed sandstone brickwork leads to the first floor where three good-sized bedrooms offer two doubles and a single, with the master having an en-suite shower room.
The family bathroom has a decorative glass pane and a bath making it a perfect place to relax in. Outside to the front, there is a parking area immediately to the front door, with a garage across the courtyard which can provide storage for bikes and additional parking. To the rear the private pretty walled patio area, is ideal to sit and watch the colourful sunsets, or enjoy a morning coffee with the sounds of birdsong. Leading off is a communal enclosed lawned garden area with mature planted borders which is shared with adjacent properties.
Located on the outskirts of the Lake District National Park, and just a short drive away from the Solway Coast, you have some of the very best scenery to enjoy. A visit to the village of Caldbeck will not disappoint with walks, tea shops and galleries displaying local artist’s work, whilst a day out in the border city of Carlisle will take in museums, the castle and plenty of shopping. Just a short drive away you have several local pubs offering fine ales and menus to suit all. Beach 14¼ miles. Pub 1¼ miles. Shop and restaurant 2 miles.
