My house is charmingly furnished, cozy and bright, in Mediterranean style, comfortable to accommodate up to 9 people. Located in a large private property, it is surrounded by a magnificent garden of Mediterranean plants. It is the ideal place for a restful and regenerating vacation, in contact with the energy of nature, returning to the simple and comfortable life as it once was.
It is composed of 3 double bedrooms, each with private bathroom, complete with shower and bidet. One of the double bedrooms is communicating with a fourth bedroom, with two single beds.
The rooms are cool, with ceiling fan blades and mosquito nets on the windows. They overlook the terrace shaded by a pergola of bougainvillea, in front of the garden.
The terrace is equipped with tables, armchairs, sun umbrellas and deck chairs, barbeque, to enjoy life in the open air.
The living room is comfortable, spacious and bright, with lots of books and two comfortable sofas.
The kitchen is open, American style, very well equipped.
The house is equipped with bed linen and towels. The change of linen and towels and cleaning is made every 3 nights.
There are no modern comforts: no air conditioning, which is not necessary, no Tv. The house is tech-free: the cell phone only takes in some places, but not inside the house, and the Internet connection is often inactive.
WIFI is at your disposal and on request.
The large garden, surrounding the house, extends to the sea, on a promontory where you can enjoy the view of a stunning landscape. from Punta Spalmatore to Cape Sandalo. Here there are deck chairs and tables for moments of relaxation in front of the view offered by nature. From the garden, a few steps from the house, begin hiking trails, walkable on foot and also by mountain bike, for beautiful excursions in the Mediterranean. Very nice walk that leads to the Oasis Lipu and Calafico, as well as the lighthouse of Cape Sandalo.
I live on the property and, with Piero, we are always available with discretion to give suggestions on the most beautiful experiences to do on the island, and organize boat trips, horseback riding, trekking walks, adventures in Sup and wingfoil. On request we organize appetizers on the top of the garden, watching the sunset and the lighthouse.
Il Becco is located in the north-west side of San Pietro island. It is a mining area, full of charm, very wild and primitive. The rocks create a landscape rich in colors, from yellow ochre to red jasper. The cliffs make the coast high and rocky, offering a unique landscape especially at sunset. A short distance away there is the Lipu Oasis, where the Queen's falcon nests and, also visible from the garden, the Lighthouse of Cape Sandalo. Beautiful hiking trails that depart from the house. The light pollution is very low and in the evening you can admire an incredible sky.
The car is necessary to stay on the island of San Pietro and at Becco. The distances are large, the streets are not illuminated, except down town in Carloforte. In the garden there is a big uncovered private parking area.
For those who wish to arrive comfortably on the island, we organize the transfer to and from the airport of Cagliari, which is the nearest airport, and on the island we have an agreement with a small agency for rental of spartan cars and scooters.
