Summary: Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Let me first say that getting there and preparing for everything that goes along with traveling to North Captiva Island is a lot more than we expected. The location is spectacular, the staff was great! What we did not expect was that there would be a lot of beachers coming onto the beach right in front of the house. Also something to consider is the food delivery fiasco from the young guys service that is on a link for groceries when you get your welcome package from the North Captiva Island Club. There are other services and he didn’t know about it. It would’ve made a lot more sense if we would have Rented a car for the week and stopped at Publix and got our own food and beverages on our way it probably would’ve saved us $1000! We got about $400 worth of groceries and it cost us $1400 for them to provide the service. We went sailing one day using boats and fun on the island and they were awesome. We got to see dolphins and manatees and we stopped at cabbage Island for lunch which was awesome! In August, the water is really warm if that’s what you like. I guess I was expecting it to be clearer and more blue. The house itself was amazing! They provided absolutely everything you could need. The pots and pans could probably use replacing. Remember, this is a remote location so there isn’t that much to do for teenagers unless you spend a lot of money on excursions. If you were looking for remote and quiet and beautiful, this is the place to be!
