Absolutely quiet location surrounded by extensive private lands, with private two-kilometer access road (not recommended for sports cars). Lovingly restored with all modern comforts. Generously arranged area with a large main house and two outbuildings. On a hill in an absolutely secluded location with extensive views (40 km) in the width of the Chianti. Well maintained lawns with berths in the shade of ancient oaks, cypresses and olive trees. Patio with pergola and barbecue. 4 separate apartments, two in the main house, one each in the outbuildings. Separate large kitchen-dining room. The Pool-apartment has air conditioning. Large pool (15x7 m) with sun terrace and view of the landscape. The property includes 55 hectares of olive trees, oaks and chestnuts.

Summary: We stayed six adults and one baby for two great weeks at "Crovoli". The houses are charming, yet functional. Separate "shared kitchen" makes it easy to prepare dinner for all. The garden and pool nice and well-kept. As the region suffered from extreme drought this summer, we were unable to benefit from barbecue and (what seemed to be a) pizza oven. The location is unique and very quiet placed in the Tuscan nature. Perfect if you want quite and privacy. If you want to go on trips every day, you might find the location inconvenient. For us, it was perfect. we heard a car passing by 1-3 times a day on the one-stringed gravel road, with the steep, hilly sides that are characteristic for this region. We had easy, friendly and forthcoming communication with both Ernst, the owner, and Pietro, who is the daily keeper of the estate. Pietro does not speak English, but Google translate and handwaving will take you all the way. We recommend Crovoli to all with the same priorities as us.
