Positive: The location of this property is excellent, being close to the motorway, a supermarket and a variety of local activities - L'Apperel de Foret(like Go Ape) which also has frisbee golf, lots of night markets, canoeing in beautiful Montignac, Lascaux caves. The beds were incredibly comfy and the kitchen was very well equipped. Excellent fans were provided in the bedroom. The gardens, tennis court and the pool were all highlights. The hosts went out of their way to help and were extremely friendly. The best Wifi that we've ever had in a gite!
Negative: The kitchen was a bit tired, the oven didn't work properly and the washing machine was out of order(but our hosts did our washing for us!) There is no door on one of the upstairs bedrooms, just a curtain, and the upstairs gets extremely hot in the heat. Unfortunately, when sitting on the terrace outside there is occasionally a slight smell from the septic tank. There were also quite a few wasps at the pool!
Summary: A wonderful stay at Les Tilleuls. A beautiful gite in lovely surroundings with friendly hosts!
