Summary: Lovely old style building. Room comfortable and quiet but the only option available at time of booking were rooms with a shared bathroom. Which was the main problem with the stay. Initially we had access to a shared bathroom next to our room. But the bathroom doors didn't lock (or even close properly) and the toilet cistern leaked continually. When we reported this to the front desk, instead of fixing the door and cistern they simply closed off the bathroom and re-directed us to other shared bathrooms further away. The hotel was full and these older (under)renovated bathrooms were simply not up to the task. Hair in all the drains, and generally messy. Limited shower cubicles etc. If the hotel persists with shared facilities they really need modern bathrooms...
