Positive: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Apartment had stunning sea views and was very quiet and private. We had the pool to ourselves.
Negative: We didn't really like the town of Giardini Naxos, we much preferred Taormina even though food, drink and accommodation was much cheaper here. We felt staff in the bars and restaurants were quite abrupt and not that welcoming. On our last night we got a taxi to Taormina as Giardini Naxos was very disappointing. The walk from the apartment to the town was only about 10-15 minutes but all uphill on the way back which was very tough as we didn't have a car. Was very tough carrying groceries and water up the hill. The air conditioner in the room also wasn't great, it cooled the room but as the main bed was in an alcove, we had to position another fan to feel the effects of the air-conditioning. The bathroom was quite dated and the shower wasn't great at all, very tight and water went everywhere. Overall we were a little disappointed considering the price of the accommodation.
