Positive: A pleasant villa with a nice interior decor and a small garden (artificial grass but very nice to walk upon). As we stayed in January the pool was obviously closed (the temperature outside was fresh and pleasant 14-17 degrees Celsius, perfect for having some walks around Monte Cofano and Zingaro natural park nearby). Roberto, the owner, greeted us with some catering in the fridge (butter, yoghurt, mineral water etc.) and even some sweets and a bottle of wine. What was important for a January stay - the air conditioners, one in each room, provided heating (one of three was rather loud and it took several hours for raising the temperature in the apartment above 20 degrees Celsius, but then it was warm and cozy, there was also a supply of blankets available for sleeping warm)., The owner also accepted early check-in as we arrived at 11:00 a.m. He provided instructions on the nearby supermarkets, tourist attractions and restaurants (however one was closed, not a surprise in January - tourists must be aware that in January many restaurants are closed or open Italian-way only at 19:00, but the apartment's kitchen was fully equipped for some in-house meals preparation). Highly recommended!
Negative: You must be ready to provide a 500 euro deposit, the owner informed me about this a day before arrival, which was inconvenient for me as I live in a country in which euro, especially in cash, is not used. Adding a dishwasher to the kitchen equipment set would be nice, but probably in the main season you will not use the kitchen so much as there will be some restaurants open nearby.all day.
