“The Orr’s Island Cottage” is much more than a cottage. It is an enchanted and charming home boasting expansive views of Harpswell Sound. This is a well maintained, year-round home located on the shore of Harpswell Sound. Orr's Island, Maine is a peninsula connected by bridges to Harpswell and Brunswick- just 15 minutes from Brunswick, home of Bowdoin College and a great downtown area. The interior and exterior blend one into the other through sliding glass doors across the width of the home-opening onto multi-decking and stairs to the private waterfront, complete with floating walkways and dock- ideal for fishing, boating, kayaking and sunbathing. This open concept floor plan provides a natural flow from the fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and living room. The large fireplace, hardwood floors, wood ceilings, create a warm, charming, romantic, perfect vacation retreat. This cottage feels vintage with all the modern amenities, i.e. tv in each room, high speed wi-fi access and air conditioning. We also have books and DVDs for those that want to relax.
