Positive: Beautiful little cottage in a quiet village and a perfect location to explore locally and further afield. One of the most well equipped self-catering cottages we've stayed in, including salt, dishwasher tabs and foil - excellent! A1 is conveniently close but cannot be heard or seen, even at night. 3 good sized bedrooms which comfortably sleep 6 and plenty of space in each one for a cot if required. Access to parking is physically tight, however there's additional space opposite the house.
Negative: Duvet was a little thin for the time of year however we did stay during a period of extremely low temperatures. Similarly the only heat source in the kitchen is the oven, however the boot room was warm enough to dry clothes and the wood-fire was very well utilised in the sitting room. Boiler is oil-fed so understandably on a very strict timer! Always going to be tricky with outside temperatures as low as -5.
